The Adi Mantra connects us to the Golden Chain, or the universal insights of the community of teachers and infinite wisdom of time and space. Cool, right?
This mantra not only connects us to the highest source of wisdom but protects us as well. It is chanted at the beginning of a Kundalini yoga practice to invoke this sacred wisdom, but I like to do it as a stand alone or at the beginning of any style of yoga practice I choose for the day. There are always several translations for sanskrit mantras but the one I like the best for the Adi Mantra is “I bow to All-That-Is”.
